The Sudharsan Engineering College Library serves as a vital hub for academic exploration and research, providing a comprehensive collection of resources to support students and faculty alike. The Sudharsan Engineering College established its library in the year 2000. The library collection is about 37,368 Volumes. 84 National and International Journals also available to the library. Central Library is located in ground floor of Library block with a total area of 837 sq.m. Housing a diverse range of books, journals, and digital materials, the library caters to the diverse disciplines offered at the college. Beyond its extensive resources, the library provides a quiet and conducive environment for studying, fostering a culture of learning and intellectual growth within the Sudharsan Engineering College community. Modern amenities, such as DELNET Database access for the E- Resources and Digital Library Software using for library, further enhance the library's role as a central resource for academic success.

Rules and Regulations

1. Entry in Library Access
  • Students should enter in library with their Identity card & Proper Dress Code.
  • Enter the names in Library visit register & Bio Matric is compulsory
2. Working hours in library
  • 09.00 am to 05.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
3. Circulation System
  • Every student can get 3 books at one time on behalf of library card for 15 days.
  • Every Faculty Members can get 5 books at one time on behalf of Library card for 6 Months.
  • Before receiving student should check the books condition, there shall be penalty.
  • Members are advised to return/renew the books on are before due date marked on the book
  • The same book can’t be renewed on that day.
  • No book shall be returned on the day of issue.
4. Overdue Charge
  • If the books are returned after due date then student will be fined 1Rs. Per day.
5. Book Lost
  • Loss of books any should be reported to the librarian immediately and Loss of books the borrower is required to replace the book by a recent edition. He will be paying the penalty two times the cost of the book.
6. Care of library Borrowers Cards
  • Handle the cards carefully
  • Avoid folding & alteration of entries made on the cards
  • Journals cannot be issued but can be used within the Library.
7. Validity of Library card
  • Library card is valid for Four (4) year’s
  • At the end of academic year student should return /cancel the library card in the library
  • After course completion return the library card to librarian and get to due sign
8. Care of Library Books
  • Student are required to handle the book/journal very carefully
  • Student is punished to fined, if he/ she is found in marking with pencil, writing or highlighting, tearing the page
  • Librarian may ask to return book from any student at any time and it is compulsory to return the same immediately.
9. Reference Section
  • In this section student can use their text books, reference book for their studies to be used only in the library
10. General rules for Library Users
  • Silence should be strictly maintained in the library
  • Keep your personal belongings at the Property Counter
  • Use of mobile phones is not permitted in the library
  • Please maintain decorum, peace and silence within the premises of library
  • A person shall not write upon damage or mark any book belonging to the library
  • Personals book shall not be allowed inside the library. Please leave them at the property Counter
  • No Food, Snacks allowed inside the Library
11. Reading room general rules for Library users
  • Group discussion is not allowed in reading room
  • Use of mobile phones is not permitted in the library and reading room
  • Students do not write, mark on any desk, table and chair belonging to the library
12. NO DUES Certificate
  • At the end of every Semester student should close their account & get the NO DUES Receipt
